A Medal Of Suffering For The Nation, II Class, 1936-1937 Period Issue consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac King’s South Africa Medal 1901-02(Medalla de Sufrimientos por la Patria 1938). Instituted in 1908. Two piece construction, in silvered bronze, unmarked, measuring 37 mm (w) x 42. 3 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally pierced ball suspension, contact marks evident on the reverse, original ribbon, suspended from a traditional horizontal hanger with pinback, near extremely fine.
