A First War German Imperial Prussian Pilot’s Badge United Republic of marked S on pinA fine first war German Imperial Prussian Pilots (Flugzeugfhrer) badge; in solid silvered brass; the obverse with a standard pilots badge design within a wreath consisting of oak and laurel leaves, with a bow on the bottom of the wreath, ordained by the Prussian crown at the top; vertical tapered pin, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; measuring 45. 12 mm x 74. 62 mm; weighing 37. 9 grams; a lightly worn example in very fine condition.
