Constructed of bronze with multi coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a white enameled disc overlaid by a German Red Cross (DRK) insignia, within a black enameled ring bearing an inscription of DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ SCHWESTERNSCHAFT (GERMAN RED CROSS SISTERHOOD), the reverse engraved with an inscription of SAABRCKEN 139, maker marked A.
