Two piece construction, silver with orange enamels, unmarked, 60. 5 mm x 62. 8 mm, horizontal pinback, chipping evident in two locations in the orange enamels, better than very fine. Footnote: The Order of the Star of Romania has a long history, being founded originally as a royal order on May 10, 1877, one of the first acts of the newly independent Romanian principality, to reward outstanding military and civil service to the state. After the
