Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a raised leftward facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich, circumscribed by name and title, within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a central inscription of FR TREUE ARBEIT (FOR FAITHFUL LABOUR), surrounded by decorative designs, unmarked, measuring 34. 50 mm in diameter,
