The species purpurea is divided into 2 subspecies
A cross between an excellent "old school" maxima and our incredible Nepenthes [(lowii x veitchii) x boschiana] "white"
This hybrid is exceptionally vigorous under highland conditions as opposed to Nepenthes diabolica which is extremely challenging to grow
An interesting grex incorporating the best of both parents and tolerant of a wide range of temperatures and humidity fluctuations
You won't find better started plants outside of Asia and out stock is extremely limited
Philodendron nangaritense temperate The species purpurea is dividedPhilodendron nangaritense is one of our favorite Philodendron species. Its foliage opens up a bronzish pink which darkens to green as it matures. Its red petioles have a bumpy texture unique amongst Philodendrons. This species exhibits more of a scrambling growth habit like gloriosum as opposed to vining like verrucosum. This product is considered an Intermediate Tropical plant.
