DD-459 Destroyer Military Ship Klemmbausteine auf lager Third floor: exhibition roomDesigned and licensed by ny152 halle, this model restores the DD 459 used in World War II and is now housed in the New Jersey Museum. DD 459 is the second ship of the U. S. Navy named after Bartlett Laffey. On March 5, 1864, Sailor Laffey was awarded the Medal of Honor for his resistance against Confederate forces. The ship, an Allen M. Sumner class destroyer, was laid down and launched during World War II in 1943 and commissioned in February 1944.
