DATA CENTER STANDARDS

Unescorted access to DataYard’s Data Center is contingent upon compliance with the following standards. Violations may result in revocation of that access.

1. Clients may not modify, tamper with, or otherwise disturb any equipment, walls, or fixtures that are not owned or operated by the client. Client cabinet locations, power drops, and network connections within the Data Center are labeled accordingly.

2. Client equipment must not exhaust hot air into cold aisles. Where necessary, devices should be rear-mounted within the cabinet and blanking panels used to direct airflow appropriately.

3. Blanking panels are required in all unoccupied cabinet units to prevent unmanaged airflow.

4. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited in the Data Center at all times.

5. Crash carts, tables, and any portable equipment must be returned to their designated storage locations upon completion of work.

6. All packaging, hardware debris, boxes, bags, and trash must be removed from the Data Center upon completion of work.

7. Floor tiles may not be moved or repositioned by clients under any circumstances.

8. Clients may bring colleagues and contractors into the Data Center to work on their equipment in the data center, but they may not grant entry to other individuals.

9. All individuals accompanying a client into the Data Center are subject to these standards. The client bears full responsibility for the conduct of those they escort.

10. Access cards must be returned promptly when Data Center access is no longer required.

PRIVACY & POLICIES

We have a radical commitment to privacy. It’s not something that we consider to be a foundational value but rather a fundamental part of our character. We believe it’s wrong for peering eyes to be watching and selling your data. Therefore we have a set of protections, privacy commitments and policies in place to keep you and your data safe.
